Thalia Deco City & Beach Hotel

Still a family atmosphere, still attentiveness, still a delicious breakfast, they have won our hearts again. It is close to the beach. There is someone at the reception 24/7, the nearest shop is right next to the hotel. And if you want dinner, the restaurant where you can eat is of course next to the hotel.

This is a 3rd time in Hersonissos and 1st time at Thalia. We have just returned from a weeks stay at Thalia. The hotel is in a great location just a short walk to the beach and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel its self is lovely, decorated with a vintage grecian scheme and the beautiful smell of Jasmin hits you as you walk into the reception where you are greeted with the warmest of welcomes by the wonderful staff who see to your every need. Rooms are clean and the aircon is wonderful especially this time of year. The towels and linen are changed daily apart from Sundays. The breakfast is varied and fresh. The pool area has a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. I would highly recommend Thalia. You won’t be disappointed. The coach will drop you a few feet away from the hotel its just after the Spa supermarket. Be sure to visit the charming villages of Koualoufari, Piskopoano and Herssonissos Old town, which are short cab ride €10-£13 or a bus journey away you can also get the beach train which stops in the harbour. Emanuels at Koualoufari does an amazing lamb dosh!!! To get to the harbour either take the road side left of the hotel or the beach way, where you cross the road walk towards the beach and turn left onto veranda restaurant and keep walking straight ahead you will pass dozens of shops bars and restaurants. If you head right of the beach you will come across King Scorpio beach bar and restaurant which is well worth a visit. Petalida has a great Greek night on Thursday pre book! Veranda has one on Tuesdays. Karavia cafe has a wonderful breeze and Vesuvius greek taverna towards the harbour does the best gyros!

I highly recommend this location, the conditions are excellent, very close to the sea, the food is very good, the employees are professional and personally I had a very pleasant experience with Mrs. Gordana and Mr. Iannis, but in general all the employees were professional. Thank you to everyone.

Thalia Hotel is our favourite hotel on Crete. Owners & staff ensure guests have the most wonderful holiday. Location could not be better. Few minutes walk to beach, shops & restaurants. Bus stops conveniently situated only a couple of minutes from hotel. Hotel is spotless. Rooms have everything you need & are very comfortable.

Everything was excellent! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily, and towels and bed linens were changed every other day. The hotel has its own fenced parking lot, which is very convenient. The breakfast menu was good, but it could include a few more vegetarian options.
